Jacobs cut Delevingne from his runway show in 2012 for being a "dwarf" despite standing 5' 9" tall. He is quoted as saying "why is this dwarf here." Now one of the most in-demand models, Delevigne does everything from runway shows to ad campaigns to editorials. She won over the modeling industry with her impressive eyebrows and goofy faces. Now she's dubbed the new Kate Moss. But she eventually made it working for Jacobs last season at Paris Fashion Week of all things along side Kate Moss. New York State changes labor law regarding minor models

The New York State Senate and Assembly both passed legislation to extend child labor laws to cover underage models. A first review of the legislation, which has not yet been signed into law, it basically requires photographers and modeling agencies to fill out more paperwork before hiring and working with underage models. It may also require a model to receive half the pay now and the other half be put into an escrow account until the model reaches 18. With most models starting their careers in their early teens, the law is designed to protect them. The result however could mean photo shoots and agencies looking for models from out of state. However the other result could be fashion shows simply hiring only 18 and up.
